Bird Sightings

February 20, 2012

Bird walks are held each Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning at 9:00 A.M.until March 15, when they will begin at 8:00 A.M.,  at Patagonia Lake State Park.  They are free and without preregistration when you pay the Park entrance fee of $10 per car with up to four people per car or with an annual State Park Pass.  Meet at the east end of the campground by the birding kiosk.

The walks cover about 3/4 of a mile, round trip and the terrain is flat except for a few steps leading down to the lake level.  Usually they last about 2 to 3 hours, though it is easy to return on your own at any time.

Below is the list of birds seen on this week’s walk and around the campground or Park.
